HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY
While at AIMS all Parents and Carers are responsible for their children.
AIMS will provide a safe environment for the Group to function each Saturday
Any allergies, special dietary needs or special health needs will be recorded on the Family registration form and reported to the Playleaders and Volunteers.
DOORS AND GATES
All external gates will be shut during a session. Playleaders and Volunteers to action
Front door will be open from 11am to 11.30 monitored by a volunteer. Door to be shut at 11.30, a notice placed on the door with info re mobile to ring for door to be opened.
Fob for front door to be kept in AIMS cupboard in the kitchen off the dining room while the session is in progress.
USE of ROOMS and OUTSIDE AREA
At all times there will be a Playleader or Volunteer in charge of each area in use.
FOOD AND DRINK
Families will bring packed lunches to be eaten in the dining room or if the weather permits in the outside area. Drinks will only be allowed in the dining room.
USE of BIKES
Children will only be allowed to ride bikes if they are wearing a helmet.
KITCHEN
When cooking children will wash their hands before and after preparing food. There will always be a Playleader in charge and at least one volunteer to support them. No more than 6 children to be cooking at any one time.
POOL
Parents will always accompany their child whilst in the pool, either in the pool or in the pool area. Parents will supervise their child in the changing room. No more than 10 children to use the pool at any one time.
There will always be a First Aider and a Volunteer in the pool area when swimming is in session.
Sessions will be from 11am to 1pm. At the end of the session, the Playleader or Volunteer will ensure the cover is replaced and the door to the pool padlocked
ACCIDENTS
A first aid box is in the AIMS cupboard in the kitchen. Any incident and action taken will be recorded in the accident book and in the end of session report.
