This newsletter is being posted in January but 2010 seems to have gone by so quickly!  That is what happens when you are having fun and surrounded by such a great bunch of people such as those at AIMS.  We had a great time on the Santa Train thanks to South Dartmoor Rotary.  Our aquarium visit has been postponed until March 2011 to avoid the clash with the local football derby.

Our fund raising continues successfully with money raised from the Teignmouth Townswomen’s Guild, our Fashion Show, Carol Concert, “Rolling the Coin” at the Holcombe Residents Barn Dance, various donations and of course the Conker Championship at The Castle,  organised by the Holcombe Gentlemen’s Rugby Club.

Unfortunately we had to postpone our Christmas Party due to the terrible weather and road conditions but we held it on 8th January and Father Christmas came back from his holiday in the Bahamas to make a special appearance!  A big thank you to everyone involved in the party and the Dawlish Spiritualist Church for helping Santa buy and wrap the presents.

Another thank you to the White Hart in Dawlish for donating the proceeds of the burgers, minces pies, mulled wine and coffee they sold during the Christmas Market on 12th December to AIMS.

Happy New Year to all our families from everyone at AIMS and another huge THANK YOU to all of our local supporters.   We have an exciting mix of sessions a lot to look forward to including African Day, Burns Night (during the day!), Chinese New Year, Scavenger Hunt and cooking outside at Haldon and our visit to Dawlish Leisure Centre.  We look forward to welcoming our regular and new families.
