We have had a great couple of months since our last Newsletter and the children have made some fantastic things and been on some great adventures.

We visited the nature reserve at Dawlish Warren and the children went pond dipping and then exploring on the beach – they all had a fantastic time.

We have also had a beach and crabbing day, visited Ashcombe Forest School, The Orange Elephant Ice-Cream Parlour and Clip n Climb in Exeter.

Haven’t we been busy!

Our group continues to go from strength to strength and we are constantly welcoming new families.

On 8th June 2019 some of our families took part in a Sponsored Walk from Powderham Church to Turf Locks and back and our children managed to raise the massive sum of £648.55 for A.I.M.S.  The day was a huge success and a huge thank you to Clive and Zim for once again providing the children with Pizza and juice which they all thoroughly enjoyed.

We are lucky enough to continue to receive donations from the local community.  Devon Freemasons Wake Fund donated the huge sum of £1,000.00.  Dawlish Home Aid held a coffee morning on our behalf and managed to raise the sum of £400.00 for us.  One of our parents raised the sum of £128.28 by holding a Jeans Day at work.  The Whistlestop Café had a whip round for us and managed to get together the sum of £379.00 for us.  Teignmouth Social Club held a bingo night on our behalf and raised £379.00 for us.  Finally, our staff and volunteers manned the refreshment tent on the Lawn in Dawlish as part of Carnival Week and we managed to raise over £600.00.  We have also had huge donations from local author, Davey J. Ashfield who has donated profits from his book and from the Teign Treasure Trail to us.  We consider ourselves extremely lucky to have such enormous support.

Due to the huge amount of donations we have received we have been able to offer our families some fantastic activities and outings which have really helped the group to bond.  This has also been possible due to the dedication of our wonderful staff and volunteers.
