That’s summer over now. Although the weather wasn’t too good in August we did manage all our outdoor activities apart from the carnival in Dawlish. We had to call that off as the weather was very wet but no matter we have our costumes and may be able to bring them out again.

Our visits to the Oakwood Forest School were great fun and we may be able to go again in the New Year. We learned how to make a popcorn cooker for use over an open fire and now we have our own which we used at Haldon Forest. Successful.  The Open Day at Hannah @ Seale Hayne was worthwhile and if you haven’t visited Dame Hannah it is worth doing so. Apart from anything the coffee is good.

We continue to fund raise and are grateful to the continuing support of the Teignmouth Townswomen’s Guild and Ashcombe Village Hall. The Dawlish Masons raised nearly £300 after a talk at one of their meetings and The Swan BBQ raised a staggering £2350. The Crashbox and Historic Vehicles Club gave us £1250.

A BIG thank you to everyone
