We have had a busy time at the Bungalow. Our Morris Team now have costumes and I would like to thank Janet, Maggi, Dianna and Denise for helping to make them. They will look very colourful when we (hopefully) dance at the Triangle in Teignmouth on the 19th June in the morning and at the Dawlish Carnival in August.
Our 3D Art sculpture should put together next week ready for placement in Dawlish. I will let you know where and you can have a look for yourself. You will see it has taken a lot of hard work from the children and parents and it is thanks to The Helen Foundation for giving us a grant towards this.
We have been lucky with the weather as the group really enjoy their outdoor play, in particular the den building with Robin and we have all been put through the obstacle courses designed by the children. Most of the next few weeks programme are based on the outdoors so we do want a good summer.
Thank you to the Dawlish Water Rotary who gave us £500 which they raised from their bi-annual quiz. For those of you who have not been at one of their quizzes it is good fun. So look out for a pub near you which is involved in this. The next one is in October. We also had £386 from the Mayor’s Fund so a thank you to Mr Geoff Wills.
The Fashion Show was a great success and it is thanks to our models Claire, Sara, Jane and Norma. Although they were very nervous they walked the catwalk with aplomb and helped to raise £515.
A REMINDER OF:
- ASCOT RACE NIGHT June 19th at Ashcombe Village Hall. Tickets £5 .
Why not get up a table of 8 and share your stake. Last year was really good fun.
Our AGM date had changed as many of our supporters are involved in other activities so
You are invited to ‘Coffee & Danish’ on the 25th September at the Bungalow when we will be holding our AGM and having an Open Day.
